Labor Day Parade: Same Song, Second Verse
Labor Day Parade:
Same Song, Second Verse
To the Editor,
One of the most wonderful aspects of the Newtown Labor Day Parade is its ability to bring the town together. This past week has brought challenges never before faced by the parade committee. As we have moved through the rescheduling process we have taken into consideration the many facets of town life. With the input and support of First Selectman Patricia Llodra and Police Chief Michael Kehoe, the decision has been made to postpone the parade to Sunday, October 9, at 2 pm. The parade committee will continue to work diligently to create a parade that is reflective of the spirit of Newtown. Please join us as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary of the Newtown Labor Day Parade â same song, second verse!
