Hawleyville Incident

Police report that at about 9 am on September 12, they spotted motorist Tia Lauren Gayle, 23, of Danbury driving northward on Currituck Road and approaching its intersection with Obtuse Road and Hawleyville Road.

Gayle entered the intersection and drove past a stop sign without stopping, police said.

Police stopped Gayle to investigate and then charged her with failure to obey a stop sign and with driving with a suspended  license. Gayle was released on a written promise to appear on September 25 in Danbury Superior Court, according to police.
