"Pilobolus Performs With Newtown:" Special Public Performance With RIS Students, December 19
The Washington Depot-based After School Arts Program (ASAP) has announced that fifth and sixth grade students at Reed Intermediate School will perform with dancers from Pilobolus Dance Theater on Friday, December 19, at 7 pm.
“Pilobolus Performs with Newtown” will feature members of the unique American modern dance company offering performance and demonstration with students who have been participating in an after school program since late September.
According to ASAP, this is its 16th year providing workshops and school programming throughout northwest Connecticut. The dance collaboration with Reed students, however, is a first for the school, and one of multiple being offered by ASAP.
The project will culminate in the demonstrations and performances by the students under the guidance of the professional dancers.
Tickets are $10 if purchased online or $15 at the door.
“Pilobolus Performs with Newtown” is expected to last about one hour.
