ALEXIS ARCHER from Newtown was one of nearly 200 Fairfield County students who performed at the 2nd Annual Yamaha Clavinova Festival sponsored by Westport-Fairfield Piano, which was held earlier this month in Danbury. The festival is today’s upbeat alternative to the piano recital. Participants gave creative performances in a festive musical forum, adding innovative accompaniments and sound available on the Yamaha Clavinova digital piano. Students from Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Fairfield, Monroe, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, Trumbull and Wilton participated in the non-competitive event.
