Adult Religious Education Lecture

St Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Newtown is inviting the public to attend the second in a series of adult education lectures on Tuesday, November 13, from 7:30 to 9 pm in the church.

The Rev William McCarthy from My Father’s House, a retreat house in Moodus, will share his insights on how to “Listen to God’s Will.”

Father McCarthy explains that while those who pray believe they are communicating with God, sometimes the conversation is one way: they do the talking. Throughout the history of God’s people as found in scripture, it is clear that God speaks in many different ways and at all times, Father McCarthy said.

The public is invited to come to this program to learn how to be more “tuned in” to God’s quiet voice. Religious education is a life-long spiritual growth process; everyone is invited to attend regardless of where they are in their journey with God.
