Pauline Poplaski, 99, of Ansonia, died July 4 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Felix Poplaski.
She leaves her loving family, including one daughter, Helen Hassett of Southbury; one sister, Agnes Ray of Newtown; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs Poplaski was born on February 21, 1903, in Ansonia, daughter of the late Valentine and Amelia (Federowicz) Sobolisky. She was a lifelong Ansonia resident and a communicant of St Joseph Church. Mrs Poplaski was a member and past president of the Falcon Ladies Auxiliary, and had also done volunteer work for the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army.
Funeral services were held on July 8 from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, to St Joseph Church, Ansonia, where a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated. Interment was in St Michael Cemetery, Derby.
