Hats Off To Mrs Wasserman

To the Editor:

Hats off to Representative Julia Wasserman for engineering the conveyance of 38 acres of land from the state to Newtown. This land is slated to remain open space for the enjoyment of all.

At a time when the town is in the midst of an identity crisis about what it wants to be, we’re lucky to have the enterprising Ms Wasserman working hard to ensure that Newtown retains some of its lovely rural charm. In a recent newspaper story, she’s quoted as saying, “I’m not quite finished...I want to do more if I can.”
