Letter Was 'Ruthless And One-Sided'
Letter Was
âRuthless And One-Sidedâ
To the Editor:
This letter is in response to Ted Ruddockâs letter written in the The Newtown Bee July 4.
The residents who chose to confront Jennaâs letter, and not the other letters, was because Jennaâs letter was very ruthless and one-sided. It couldnât be more clear that Jennaâs values are self-interested.
I volunteered for three months at Ashlar and I didnât bump into any children volunteering nor run into little Jenna reading Shakespeare to the residents.
There are hundreds of Newtown residents working thousands of hours just to pay their taxes. They are the blue-collar workers who do not have investments to rely on for income. Nor do they have the benefit of living in Equestrian Heights.
As far as senior citizens are concerned, if it wasnât for the greatest generation, little Jenna wouldnât have a town to live in, nor a country.
As for you Mr Ruddock ââ can the next generation and their families depend on you to continue paying your enormous taxes after your children have a graduated school or will you skip town then? If you donât like living in a town that does not concentrate all its efforts on education then you should move!
