George Herring Joins Savings Bank of Danbury
George T. Herring has joined the Savings Bank of Danbury as vice president/sales manager. In this position, Mr Herring will be responsible for developing new sales initiatives for the bank.
Prior to joining the Savings Bank of Danbury, he served as vice president/service leader at First Union Bank. He graduated from Fairfield University with a bachelor of science degree in finance and has 25 years of banking experience. He is a member of the board of directors of Junior Achievement and a Little League coach.
Mr Herring lives in Newtown with his wife, Beth, and two sons.
Tom Vitale has joined the bank as vice president of commercial banking. In this position he will be responsible for developing new commercial business for the bank and servicing the needs of existing banking customers.
Prior to joining SBD, he served as vice president, relationship manager â Regional Commercial Banking Group at The Bank of New York. He has 15 years of banking experience.
He graduated in 1983 from Villanova University with a bachelorâs degree in business administration and received an MBA in 1991 from the Lubin Graduate School of Business at Pace University.
The bank also announced that Joann Streaman has joined SBD as a mortgage originator, generating mortgages in the greater Danbury area.
Prior to joining the bank, she served as a sales associate for Coldwell Banker. She had been owner/manager of John Streaman Real Estate, a family owned business, for 20 years. She has 27 years of real estate experience and is a licensed broker.
She lives in Bethel with her son.
