Sheila O’Connor, a clarinetist at The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, has been selected to receive a music achievement award from the women’s committee of the Wooster Symphony Orchestra. She was selected for the award on the basis of merit, achievement of musical standards, commitment to the orchestra and community involvement.

Jake Gotliboski, a junior majoring in criminal justice at the University of New Haven, was one of 25 students from the university who participated in an alternative spring break. From March 13 through March 17, Jake worked at the Habitat for Humanity site in New Haven.

Jennifer Francesca Ratzing, a junior anthropology major, has been named to the honor’s list at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Penn. Jennifer is the daughter of Elaine and Anthony Ratzing.

Sandy Hook resident Jordan Miles, a freshman in the School of International Service at American University in Washington, D.C., was named to the fall dean’s list. Jordan is majoring in international studies.
