Reminder For Renters

Are you a Connecticut renter? Were you 65 years old as of December 31, 2005, or are disabled according to Social Security or a program with similar requirements?

If so, the Connecticut Association of Area Agencies on Aging reminds residents about the State of Connecticut Renters Rebate Program for elderly and disabled renters. Qualified applicants receive a check from the State of Connecticut to offset a portion of rent and utilities paid during the previous year.

For more details on the program, contact your town assessor or the municipal agent for the elderly in your town. Applications may be filed until September 15.
