Police Continue Investigation Into Armed Robbery
Police Chief Michael Kehoe said November 8 that police have developed some investigatory leads and suspects in an armed robbery that occurred on Halloween night at a gas station in Botsford.
Police are pursuing information in the case in seeking to solve the crime, he said.
Two males brandishing handguns and threatening violence made off with an unspecified amount of cash in the armed robbery at Buzzâs Mobil gas station at 286 South Main Street. There were no injuries in the incident. Armed robbery is a relatively unusual crime locally.
The two males entered the business, displayed weapons and demanded cash. They received some money from an unidentified clerk, after which the two males fled from the gas station via a vehicle that was positioned nearby. There were two employees in the gas station when the incident occurred.
In January 2001, Buzzâs Mobil was the site of another armed robbery, in which a masked young male made off with cash and disappeared into the night.
