RIDGEFIELD, CONN. — It is time to “go green” as the Outdoor Ridgefield Antiques Market celebrates its 46th year on the grounds of the historic 1896 Lounsbury House Saturday, June 7. More than 100 dealers — from throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic will showcase everything from antiques to jewelry.

Show hours are 8 am to 4 pm, rain or shine, at the Lounsbury House, also known as the Ridgefield Community Center, on 316 Main Street.

“Everyone who comes to the show will have a chance to put into practice the principals of green living: recycle, reuse and reduce,” says show manager Corinne Burke. “For example, when you buy an antique — large or small — you are recycling a cherished item from the past. Take that item home, put it on display or find a new way to use it and you are putting into practice the reuse principle.”

“The market has a wide selection of Americana, architectural gems, decorative garden ornaments, jewelry, a wide offering of smalls and other fine collectibles” said Burke. “It really is the perfect place to get into the spirit of green living as you seek out your favorite treasure or collectible.”

Prices reflect the “country setting” and dealers look forward to sharing their finds, advice and tips for both novice and experienced collectors. Admission is $7; children under 12 admitted free.
