EAST HARTFORD — Smoking-related diseases claim an estimated 392,000 American lives each year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Celebrate your commitment to quit with an “I Quit” lapel pin from the American Lung Association.

Complete the American Lung Association’s Freedom From Smoking® Online program and receive a free lapel pin available now. To show the American Lung Association of New England’s appreciation for those who have already chosen to become smoke-free, you can receive a free lapel pin by visiting lungne.org and wear your commitment to a smoke-free life proudly.

By logging on to lungne.org, you can access tips from lung health experts on how to quit and advice for continued success in your tobacco-free life. Whether you’re trying to quit for the first time or the seventh, the American Lung Association can provide the knowledge and support you need to succeed.

At the American Lung Association of New England’s website, lungne.org, you will find free resources to help you quit, such as Freedom From Smoking Online, educational materials, and downloadable tips to take with you. Your local tobacco treatment centers are also listed on the website.
