Pitch In Just A Little

To the Editor:

I would like to ask our community to step forward once again and help our neighbors that are having a rough time. My bus will be at Stop & Shop accepting donations of winter outerwear and groceries.

Many of us have donated to the Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets. Thank you for that. However, what gets lost in the shuffle is the normal day-to-day needs. Social Services is experiencing a serious shortage of these items. Some examples are personal care items, soup, cereal, canned tomatoes, jelly, rice mixes, canned pasta, and spaghetti sauce.

This economy has hit all of us but if we work together and everyone pitches in just a little bit then we can all make it.

I look forward to seeing you December 9 or 16 between 4 pm and 8 pm or December 10 or 17 between 8 am and 4 pm.

I would love to see all of us have a Merry Christmas.
