Prepping A Business For Tax Season

Do local business owners have what is necessary to get taxes done? If not, join the Women’s Business Development Center’s (WBDC) tax professional and learn what to have in order prior to preparing your taxes.

The session will help business operators gain an understanding of what they need to keep track of all year long, to be best prepared for tax season.

The WBDC instructor will help participants understand reporting and compliance responsibilities and answer questions about payroll taxes, sales tax and personal property tax, understand the different types of business entities, their characteristics and the common tax forms associated with each.

This year, participating businesses are invited to get organized and prepared before they tackle taxes, and to better understand new tax laws affecting business returns.

The session is set for Monday, January 31, from 6 to 8 pm at Independence Hall, Fairfield. There is no charge, but registration is required.

For more information call 203-353-1750 or visit CTWBDC.org.
