Applicants For Grants
The Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation is now accepting applications for grants to be awarded in 2011. These grants are available to not-for-profit organizations serving both the greater Danbury and Waterbury areas in support of education, community and economic development, health and human services, and arts and culture.
Hal Wibling, president and CEO of Savings Bank of Danbury, said the bank values its ârole in supporting our neighbors. The foundationâs mission is to strengthen our communities by providing grants to organizations that are vital to the well-being, growth and prosperity of the communities in which we live and work.â
Foundation grants are administered by a committee consisting of Savings Bank of Danbury corporators, directors, and officers.
In 2010, a variety of grants were awarded including Housatonic Habitat for Humanity, Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, Brass City Harvest, Danbury Youth Service, and Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury.
