Milford Man Arrested In Pharmacy Theft
Milford Man Arrested In
Pharmacy Theft
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Joseph Warner, 21, of Milford went to the police station at about 5 am on July 10 and was arrested on a charge of fifth-degree larceny, police said.
That misdemeanor charge reflects Warnerâs alleged theft of more than $500 worth of merchandise from a local store.
Police said that the charge stems from a shoplifting incident that occurred on the morning of May 7 at Walgreens, a pharmacy at 47 South Main St.
In that incident, Warner allegedly stole approximately $600 worth of Crest-brand White Strips, a dental product that is used to whiten teeth.
Following the shoplifting incident, police released a surveillance photo of the man who had stolen the dental items in seeking information from the public on the theft. The Bee posted that photo on its May 7 Internet edition and published it in its May 11 print edition.
Police held Warner on $2,500 bail for a July 10 arraignment in Danbury Superior Court on the fifth-degree larceny charge.
Warner has multiple criminal charges from other municipalities pending against him in other courts in the state.
