CARA Hamfest Returning

The Candlewood Amateur Radio Association (CARA) will present its annual Western Connecticut Hamfest on Sunday, September 9, from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm. The event will again be in the gymnasium and lower parking lot of Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street.
Admission is $6, free for ages 10 and under.
The Hamfest will include commercial vendors (including but not limited to KJI Electronics, Quiksilver Radio, Radio Oasis, and Sauder Electronics) and tailgating, ham radio equipment and computer gear, door prizes, and refreshments.
This yearâs raffle prize is a new mobile rig. Â
Jay Kolinski (NE2Q) will present a seminar on âAlmost Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Antennas.â A second guest speaker and seminar is being planned.
While approaching the event or for those who cannot attend, a talk-in will be running on the CARA W1QI Repeater, 147.300(+) PL 100.0.
