Jones Joins Konica Subsidiary

WINDSOR — Konica Business Technologies, Inc. (KBT), a leader in digital imaging solutions and a subsidiary of Konica Corporation, announced Stephen T. Jones of Newtown has joined the company as vice president, color operations.

Mr Jones will help KBT develop and implement a color product strategy and a surrounding sales effort.  He will have profit and loss responsibilities for color sales in North and South America.

His wealth of industry experience and proven track record, especially with color product programs, are invaluable assets as we continue to meet our business goals,” said Yasuo Matsumoto, president and chairman of the board, KBT. “Color will be a major contributor to meeting the needs of Konica’s present and future customers, and Steve will help lead the way.”

Most recently, Mr Jones served as vice president, sales, for Sharp Electronics Corporation, where he led the US sales efforts for the company’s color products along with its commercial copier and fax technology lines. In addition to his experience at Sharp, Mr Jones also was director of color operations worldwide at Xerox, handling the design and management of color and digital products sales and marketing initiatives.

Mr Jones lives in Newtown with his wife, Nancy, and their two daughters, Jenna and Erin.
