Occupation: I am an entrepreneur. I started a filtered water bottle distributorship, called Drink Water 2 Give Water. It’s fairly new. It’s a reusable filtered water bottle, and it’s an economical and eco-friendly option. We try to get people to give up buying bottled water. I also do fundraising for a nonprofit called Digdeep Water.
Family: My wife Gina and I have been married for 15 years this October. Our son Ben just turned 8, and our daughter Celia is 4 years old.
Pets: We have puppy, just a year old on July 4. His name is Banner, and he’s a Bichon Frise.
How long have you lived in Newtown? We’ve lived in Sandy Hook for almost six years. Gina grew up in Newtown, and we were married in St Rose. We lived in Boston and North Carolina after we got married, and then moved back to Newtown.
What do you like to do in your free time? I’ve been playing basketball at Club NewFit, and I do a lot of stuff with the family. My son plays soccer, so we go the fields to watch him a lot. Our daughter is into dance, so we’ve been going to dance recitals the end of the school year. I like to relax by watching some sports with Ben.
Do you have a favorite sports team? I’m a Boston guy, so I’m a big Red Sox fan. I like all the Boston teams — the Celtics, the Bruins, and the Patriots.
Do you have a favorite travel destination? We’ve been to Aruba a few times, where my in-laws have a time-share, and my mom has a time-share in Isla Mujeres, off of Cancun. So those are two nice vacation options. In the summer, we go to Cape Cod to visit my mom, and we try to do some regional trips.
What is the best thing about Newtown? I really felt at home when we moved here. We’ve made a lot of good friends — so, it’s the people here. Newtown always has something going on. It’s a great place to bring up a family.
Who has been the greatest influence in your life? My parents were the greatest influence in my life. We were always very close. My dad has passed away, but they always had my best interests at heart. My wife has a lot of influence on me, as well. She keeps my life organized and I really respect her opinions. She works hard at what she does, and has always supported my entrepreneurial spirit.
Do you have a personal philosophy? I always try to look for the positive in people, and give people the benefit of the doubt. I try to teach my kids to appreciate all that we have, and that it’s important to help others, because we are so fortunate.
Do you have a guilty pleasure? Probably sweets; and taking time to watch some sports.
