Young adult poets, jugglers, singers, comics, musicians, and other entertainers are invited to share their talents at Saturday Night Open Mic, an event being planned for Newtown youth in grades 5-12, at Newtown Congregational Church. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, from 7 to 9 pm, in The Great Room of the church, at 14 West Street.

Microphones, keyboard, guitar amp, and other instruments will be available — live music only. Signup starts at 6:45 pm. There is no early signup.

Each performer will be given approximately five minutes. Space may be limited to 20 performers total and signup is first come, first served.

There is a suggested donation of $1 per person. Adults attending are invited to bring a snack or drink to share. All those under grade 6 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
