Police report receiving a call about 12:08 am August 19 alerting them that an assault was in progress at a Great Quarter Road residence, so they went there to investigate.
After they determined what had happened and learned who was involved in the incident, police set out to locate the two people involved.
Police said they located Ian Doerr, 20, of 49 Spring Trail walking on Bennetts Bridge Road. Police said they charged Doerr with second-degree breach of peace and with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana.
Police said they located Charles Ferris, Jr, 21, of 329 Berkshire Road at his home and charged him with second-degree breach of peace.
Following processing, police released Doerr on $500 bail and released Ferris on $100 bail. Both men are scheduled to appear August 31 in Danbury Superior Court.

A two-vehicle accident occurred about 12:53 pm August 17 near 107 Church Hill Road.
Police said that Marian Hatton, 29, of Trumbull, who was driving a 2003 International van westward on Church Hill Road, had missed making a turn at a driveway, so Hatton stopped and then backed up.
But in backing up, the van collided with a 2001 Chevrolet SUV driven by Lynn Lajoie, 44, of 8 Jacklyn Road, according to police.
There were no injuries. Hatton was verbally warned for unsafe backing, police report.
