Mary Rossi, 94, of Fairfield, formerly of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Clarence Rossi, died peacefully June 17 at the Carolton Chronic and Convalescent Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, Mrs Rossi had been a Stratford resident for most of her life prior to relocating to Fairfield in 1995.
She was a retired employee of the Singer Sewing Machine Co in Bridgeport, and was a former member of the Sterling House in Stratford.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Holcomb of Fairfield; five grandchildren, Victoria Holcomb of Newtown, Elizabethe Bogues and her husband Mark of New Fairfield, Constance Pough and her husband Robert of Naugatuck, Christina Hey of Milford, and Raleigh Holcomb III and his wife Sharon of Oxford; four great-grandchildren, Shannon, Dennis, Timothy, and Raleigh; one great-great-granddaughter, Riley Rose; and several nieces and nephews including Patricia Pellegrini of Maine and Sandra Metcalf of Florida.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 21 at St Mark Church, Stratford. Interment followed in St John Cemetery.
Contributions in memory of Mrs Rossi may be made to the charity of oneâs choice.
