Shirley Nezvesky Beresin, 92, of Trumbull, died September 22 at St Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport. She was born and raised in Newtown, a daughter of the late Yetta and Abraham Nezvesky, and was a lifelong member of Congregation B'nai Israel of Bridgeport.

One of Mrs Beresin's greatest passions was teaching. She taught preschoolers at the McKinley School in Fairfield for nearly 35 years and taught Sunday school at Congregation B'nai Israel.

In addition to spending time with her family, she loved to play mahjong with her friends.

Her devoted son, Barry Beresin; her adored sister, Sylvia Kirschblum; her son-in-law, Glenn Degirolomo; and several nieces and nephews survive her.

Her beloved husband, Bernard Beresin; and her cherished daughter, Sharon Degirolomo, predeceased her.

Services will take place on Tuesday, September 26, at 11 am, directly at Loyalty Cemetery, Burroughs Road, Fairfield.
