For many years, Mrs Waters and her husband taught religious education classes in their home while they were parishioners of St Peter's Roman Catholic Church. She was a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed reading, classic movies, and was an avid card player.

Mrs Waters will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Her children, Dorice Waters Heron and husband Patrick of Sandy Hook, Diane M. Waters Tyler and husband Andrew of Manchester, and Robert G. Waters and wife Debbie of New York; three grandchildren, R. Michael Tyler, Nicholas Heron, and Paige Tyler; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and friends survive her.

Her siblings, Nori Fatta, Angela Pellegrino, and Rocco Lupo, predeceased her.
