To the Editor:

The Newtown Senior Center and Friends of Newtown Seniors (FONS) collaborated on the planning of a holiday party that was held on Sunday, December 15. The officers and directors of FONS would like to thank all who attended the Holiday Party and also those who planned and staffed the event. The party was co-sponsored by the Senior Center and Friends of Newtown Seniors and was held at the new Community Center, which was a wonderful venue. Our guests got to visit and socialize with more than 80 other guests, as well as some of the instructors from the Senior Center. DJ Kevin Burland provided a wide selection of music, and the dancing was lively.

We would like to extend a special thank you to all who provided goods and gift cards for the “give-a-way” baskets, including members of FONS, Lion Bleecker Street Pizza, Edmond Town Hall Theatre, Franco’s Pizza, Reena Massage, Newtown Nails, BD Provisions, King’s Restaurant, Turning the Page Book Store, Salon Michele, and Newtown Pools. Also, thanks to Newtown Savings Bank for their generous gift card to Caraluzzi’s Market. We appreciate the support of local businesses who contribute so much to our community.
