Newtown High Grapplers Topple Immaculate, Fall To Oxford

Newtown High School’s wrestling team visited Immaculate of Danbury on December 22 and came home with a 63-12 triumph behind 11 individual wins among the 14 weight classes. Newtown improved to 2-0 in dual matches. The Nighthawks lost their next battle, 42-37 at Oxford, in match originally scheduled for December 27, but held the next day because of the Sunday-into-Monday snowstorm. Newtown’s winning results from the Immaculate match are as follows:
