Carlton Fred Woodhouse
Carlton Fred Woodhouse, 76, of Mohican Road, Old Saybrook and Naples, Fla., husband of June (Marshall) Woodhouse, died December 27 in Salisbury, Md.
Mr Woodhouse was born in Manchester on September 12, 1928, son of the late Fred and Ida (Bronke) Woodhouse.
Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Bryan M. Woodhouse and his wife Paula of Newtown; two daughters, Susan W. Trzcinski and her husband Paul, and Allison W. Heneghan and her husband John, all of Hebron; one brother, Richard Woodhouse of Grantham, N.H.; two sisters, Eleanor Burgess of Nashville, Tenn., and twin sister, Connie Zanardi of Chester; seven grandchildren, Paige, Alicia, Jacob, Michael, Amy, Taylor, and Kylie; and several nieces and nephews. Mr Woodhouse was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He graduated from Williston Academy and Trinity College. He was an army veteran of the Korean Conflict and employed by Travelerâs Insurance of Hartford for 33 years and Jacobâs Law Firm, Manchester. He volunteered at Old Saybrook Police Department, The Naples, Fla., Conservancy, Naples Police Department, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Hartford, was chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Second Congregational Church of Manchester, and an active member of Mayflower Congregational Church Building Committee and the First Church of Christ, Old Saybrook.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 31, at 10:30 am ,at the First Church of Christ Congregational Church, 366 Main Street, Old Saybrook.
