Family Programs

Parenting Education Program (PEP) Putting Children First is a State of Connecticut program required as a pre-requisite to granting a divorce. Sessions are designed to help families cope with the effects of divorce on children.

Youth Programs

Job Bank is accepting applications from qualified 13-18-year olds in Newtown who want employment babysitting, pet sitting, mowing lawns, shoveling, or performing other house hold chores.

Call Tuesday through Thursday between 3 and 5 pm for an application.

Support Groups

Solve the Social Puzzle: This group will promote an understanding of social skills for children ages 5-9 in a setting that will allow them to practice with their peers. This group will be a ten session series and begin January 10; meetings will be from 4 to 5 pm.

Insurance will be accepted and for those without insurance you will be eligible to be on our sliding scale. Topics covered will include appropriate communication, active listening, building and improving self-esteem, following rules, improving basic interaction skills and many more social skill building topics.
