With deepest sorrow we announce the unexpected death of Kyle McCarthy, 28, our most beloved son, brother, family member, and friend.

Kyle was born and raised in Newtown, going through the Newtown school system. After he graduated from Newtown High School, he worked for Newtown Country Club as a groundskeeper for over ten years, as well as having a second job working at Whitlock’s Restaurant in Bethel.

Kyle was a loving son and best friend to his mom, Eve McCarthy.

He is also survived by his mother’s partner, Ed Raposo; brother, Kevin McCarthy Jr; grandmother, Marianne Muskus; an uncle, Bobby Adams; and numerous cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Kevin McCarthy Sr.

Kyle was a very subdued, reliable, and dependable young man who was always available to help when needed. He had a quiet and respectful manner and especially cherished his only nephew, Luke McCarthy.

Words cannot express how much his presence will be missed.
