Vital At Villarina’s

Pasta And More

Stella “Mimi” Eskierski, 82, of Newtown, died December 26 at her home. She was the wife of Bernard T. Eskierski. Mrs Eskierski was born December 28, 1923, in Bayonne, N.J., a daughter of Bronislaw and Stella (Olkowski) Zarski.

Mrs Eskierski lived in Port Chester, N.Y., for many years, graduated from Port Chester High School, and was employed at the Life Saver Company. She also worked at Wilton Nursing and Home Health Care.

Mrs Eskierski played a vital role in the intricacies of the success of her family’s business, Villarina’s Pasta and More, in Newtown and Southbury.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Bernard T. Eskierski, Jr of Newtown and Steven A. Eskierski of Southbury; two daughters, Joanne Knees of Newtown and Suzanne Eskierski of Southbury; a sister, Mary Hamill of Ohio; and three granddaughters, Courtney, Morgan, and Joslynn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 29, at 11 am, at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South in Southbury. Entombment will be in St Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Rye Brook, N.Y. Calling hours were scheduled at the chapel at Sacred Heart Church for the evening of Thursday, December 28.

The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main Street North, is in charge of arrangements.
