Joyce Horvath Kalakay, 65, of Easton, died December 9. She is survived by her loving brother, Ray Horvath and his wife, Lucy Chaves Horvath, of Newtown; her cherished niece and nephew and godchildren, Jessica and Adam Horvath; and her treasured brother-in-law Joseph Kalakay and his children, Jennifer, Jessica, and Christopher.

She is also survived her devoted cousins Sandy McCarthy, Jane Paternoster, Kathy Flynn, and Rich Picheco.

Ms Horvath was predeceased by her husband Michael Kalakay and parents Theresa (Martinsky) and Ignatz “Iggy” Horvath.

The family wishes to express its gratitude to her supportive friends and deep appreciation to her medical professionals, especially to Marsha Quick, CNA, Ms Horvath’s full-time caregiver.

Funeral services were held December 16 at Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, Fairfield. A private burial followed at St John’s Cemetery in Stratford.
