Moving Violations

On the evening of December 23, police charged motorist Matthew DeLuca, 20, of 2 Elm Drive with failure to display a front marker plate and with driving while under suspension.

Police then released DeLuca on a written promise to appear for an upcoming court appearance.

DUI Arrest

About 1 am December 27, motorist William Butler, 21, of 78 Waterview Drive, who was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Camaro eastward on Church Hill Road, just east of its intersection with Queen Street, lost control of the auto, crossed the road’s center line, struck curbing along the westbound road shoulder, hit a road sign, and then stopped moving well off the road, in front of Hawley Road, police report.

Butler was not injured. After an investigation, police charged Butler with driving under the influence, failure to drive to the right, and failure to have automotive insurance.

Police released Butler on $100 bail for a January 11 court appearance.
