Slug: The Splendid Peasant Will Relocate to Rhode Island

#614559

TG – 1 cut, emailed

SOUTH EGREMONT, MASS. — After 18 years in South Egremont, Mass., Martin and Kitty Jacobs have closed their American Folk Art gallery and will be relocating to Bristol, R.I., this spring.

Their new location, on Narragansett Bay, has been specially designed to showcase their extensive inventory of traditional American folk art: weathervanes, folk sculpture, maritime objects, fairground art, decoys and trade signs.

Additionally, a wide variety of singular and striking objects that fall outside of the more traditional folk art categories will also be on display. The new location will be open by appointment as is their other location in Greenwich Village, New York City.

From January 15 through 23, during Americana Week, the Splendid Peasant will hold its second annual exhibition and sale at the Greenwich Village studio. This collection, along with other current inventory, may be viewed at www.splendidpeasant.com.

For details about the New York showing, 212-995-0319.
