Business background: Originally, I started back in Albania in my hometown. I always enjoyed getting my haircut and was interested in becoming a barber myself. At the age of 15, after finishing class in high school, I would go to my relative’s barbershop to watch for a couple of hours on how they were cutting hair. After a couple of years of watching and learning, I developed a passion for it and decided to go to barber school after finishing high school. After finishing barber school, I was hired at my relative’s shop and worked there for four years.

I then moved to the US and worked in Monroe for over seven years as a barber. My dream was always to open up my own barbershop and provide my customers with a different style barbershop. I started looking around and really liked Newtown’s location and community. I officially opened Danny’s Barbershop on October 17. We threw a grand opening/Christmas party for customers and family to enjoy food and music and join in the celebration to a new journey.

Business focus: Danny’s Barbershop provides men’s haircuts and style, kids’ haircuts, beard clean up, hot towel shaves, and more. It also sells men’s hair products, beard products, and men’s accessories.

Important to know: Our shop stands out with its rustic, old-school design and open space. We specialize in haircuts and clean shaves to provide our clients a great experience. We also provide kids haircuts of any age and a foosball table to play during the wait.

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 8 am to 6 pm; Thursday, from 8 am to 7 pm; Saturday, from 8 am to 5 pm; Sunday, 9 am to 3 pm; and closed Monday.
