Emily Marie Lowden Adams, 83, a resident of Danbury since 1965, died at home December 26, after a battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. Born in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Mamie Brown Lowden, and a graduate of Greenwich High School. 

Her husband, Robert Adams of Danbury; her children, Glen Adams and wife, Beth, of Newtown, and Patricia Babcock and Robert Adams, Jr, both of Danbury; her grandchildren, Robert Babcock of Tolland, Diane Coelho of Charlotte, N.C., Olivia Adams, Lauren Adams, and Brendan Adams, all of Newtown; three great-grandchildren; and her loving pets survive Mrs Adams.

She was predeceased by siblings Sylvester Lowden and Ronald Lowden.

The family would like to thank Masonicare Hospice and nurse Sara Fry for the compassionate and excellent care.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 30, from 4 to 7 pm, at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street in Danbury. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
