Newtown athletics mourns the loss of one of its greatest supporters, Kim Harmon, the talented sports editor for The Newtown Bee. Over the years, Kim proudly acknowledged the efforts of our programs and individual athletes of all ages.

Now a grateful community has the opportunity to honor this very special man. If the parents and coaches of every program — as well as every athlete whose name appeared in one of Kim’s stories — each contribute $5 to the Kim Harmon Family Scholarship Fund, we can acknowledge and support his children in a very meaningful manner. Please send your contribution to the scholarship fund established for Benjamin, Tyler, and Melissa to Newtown Savings Bank, 39 Main Street, Newtown CT 06470 (attn: Brian Amey).
