To celebrate the 40th annual lighting of the trees for the holidays at Ram Pasture, donations were received last month at the office of Newtown Parks & Recreation. The event went off as planned to the delight of a large crowd that bundled up against chilly temperatures for the evening event. The honor of lighting the tree this year went to Borough Warden Jay Maher, who was joined by his family for the honor at 7 pm.

Ahead of December 13, donations began arriving to help cover the costs associated with the annual tree event, which was cosponsored by the Borough of Newtown and Newtown Parks & Rec. The annual fundraiser runs to the end of each year.

Donations are shared in these pages as they arrive. The following represent the final batch of donations received as of December 30.
