ART/PLACE TO PRESENT THE WOODCUTS OF ANTONIO FRASCONI

SOUTHPORT, CONN. — Art/Place, the cooperative gallery in Southport, announces that Antonio Frasconi will be the “Invited Artist of the Year” exhibiting posters, landscapes and political work. The show opens to the public on January 12 and continues through February 7.

The public is invited to meet the artist at the opening reception on Sunday, January 16, from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. Frasconi will also be available on February 6 at 3 pm to discuss his work through a video of his work and a gallery talk, and to sign copies of his newly illustrated book, Let America Be America Again by Langston Hughes.

Frasconi will be exhibiting a collection of woodcuts; posters created from numerous exhibitions and books over the past 50 years along with new work, beautiful, color woodcut landscapes, as well as highly charged political work.
