Ward H. Falconer
Ward H. Falconer, 68, husband of Hazel (Ramberg) Falconer of Appleblossom Lane, Newtown, died December 25 in Danbury Hospital.
He was born in Rolla, N.D., February 11, 1932, a son of the late Harvey W. and Ethyle (Kerr) Falconer. Mr Falconer was raised in Hutchinson, Minn., and was a graduate of Hutchinson High School, Class of 1951. During the Korean War, he served in the US Air Force.
A resident of Newtown since 1971, Mr Falconer was the general manager of MCM Stamping Corporation of Danbury until his retirement in 1998.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Mitchell and Barry Falconer of Newtown and Eric Falconer and his wife, Wanda, of Oxford; a brother, Sidney Falconer of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Grace Wilkinson and Frances King of Portland, Ore.; one granddaughter, Hanna Falconer of Oxford; and two nephews and three nieces.
A Graveside Committal Service will be held at Newtown Village Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours were scheduled on Thursday, December 28, from 6 to 9 pm at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
