What is your business background? My mother, Janet Mariano, has been in the lamp business for 30 years, owning Laura Josephs of Ridgefield with my uncle, Dan Mariano. A few years after my uncle’s passing, we decided we wanted to carry on the legacy and opened The Magnolia Tree.

What is the focus of your business? We sell new and refurbished lamps, redo shades, and do repairs on lamps. If we can put a hole in it, we can electrify it.

What is something important to you that readers know about your business? We were inspired by the town boutique feel of stores in New Orleans’ French Quarter. If you know the vibes there, we went for that feel. I lived in New Orleans for 12 years. We have framed artwork unique to the area, from New Orleans, and sell candles and other gifts from that area.

Hours: Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 5:30 pm, and Sunday, 11 am to 3:30 pm.
