Grades 2-3 Midget Girls

The Yellow Jackets took on the Junior Mints and were led on offense by Julia Haskins and Jaclin Gouveia and on defense by Caroline Stubbs and Abby Pereira. For the Mints, Lauren Ankers and Vannesa Tucker were strong on offense and Nicki Napra and Carli Carpenter were defensive standouts.

The Chili Peppers were led by the scoring of Teresa Forlenzo and Haley Harkins and defense by Sage Karp and Annika Brady against the Purple People Eaters who were led by Alex Futterman, Lexy Leidlan, Madeline Findley and Larkin Huffman.

In a game between the Cheese Doodles and Dynamites, Rachel Tomasino, Kira Smith, Lauren Carrino and Caroline Viselli led the Cheese Doodles and Ashley Santore, Ava Petrelluzze, Sarah Britten and Catherine Shaw paced the Dynamites.

Navy Blue was sparked by Shannon Cheh and Sophie Muzzio on offense and Elizabeth Weisgerber and Ashley Solomon on defense in a game with the Lightning which was led by Sarah Widdman, Sarah Dowling, Lauren Montage and Kristen Cirone.

Grade 8 Girls’ Travel

Newtown Attack 50, Ridgefield 27: Kristy Papaj dropped in 10 points and Bridget Power and Tressa Scott added 6 each in the victory. Lydia Beiter and Meaghan Harkins had 3 steals each. Maddy Good and Clare Miles combined for 16 rebounds. Erin Kenning and Samantha Steimle had 4 assists each.
