Neal Michael Vetrano, 82, of New Fairfield, devoted husband of Catherine (Lobraico) Vetrano, died December 21. He was born in Yonkers, N.Y., April 26, 1926, son of Gennaro and Teresa (Coppola) Vetrano.

In addition to his cherished wife of 56 years, survivors include a son, Neal M. Vetrano, Jr, of Newtown.

Mr Vetrano was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army. He worked for the Highway Department for the Town of New Fairfield, and was an active member of the New Fairfield community. Mr Vetrano was a member of the New Fairfield Veterans Group, and served as past treasurer for the Volunteer Fire Department.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 27, at 10 am, at St Edward the Confessor Church in New Fairfield. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street in Danbury Friday evening, December 26, between the hours of 5 and 8 pm.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to any New Fairfield volunteer organization.
