Celeste Dipene

Celeste Dipene, 76, of Fairfield and New York City, a retired director of office services for Colt Industries, died on December 22, at St Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport.

She is survived by a niece and her husband, Bonnie-Sue and Robert Stampp of Sandy Hook.

Born in New York City, Miss Dipene had been a Fairfield resident since 1995. She attended Hunter College in New York, served in the Women’s Army Corps during the Korean War, and was a volunteer at St Vincent’s Medical Center.

Survivors include her sister, Angela Dipene of Fairfield; and a nephew and his wife, Robert and Shelly Bianco, of Orlando, Fla.

The Spear Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield, was in charge of arrangements. Interment was held on December 26 in Saint Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island.
