Correction

A story that ran December 18 about clarifying local political appointments when they are nominated by a party other than their registered party omitted a word in a statement by the chairman of the Independent Party of Newtown, Bruce Walczak.

The statement should have read: “Mr Walczak said he suggested to the town attorney that if endorsements come from IPN, those contenders should not be considered unaffiliated.”
