Maureen McCormick, 66, of La Belle, Fla., died November 29, in Lehigh Acres, Fla. She was born in Yonkers, N.Y., May 23, 1944.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy McCormick, 91, of La Belle; two children, including Vincent, and his wife Christina DiBernardino, of Sandy Hook; a brother; and six grandchildren.

Mrs McCormick was an accredited daycare provider in New Fairfield, before retiring to Florida in 2008 to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She also cared for her elderly mother for more than 20 years.

Arrangements were handled by Akin-Davis Funeral Home, La Belle, Fla.
