Hawley Kindergarteners Celebrate Writing And The Season

A sign outside Hawley Elementary School’s multipurpose room pointed the way and welcomed visiting guests on Friday, December 17, to the school’s Kindergarten Holiday Writing Celebration and Sing-Along.

Gathered in groups around tables in the multipurpose room, students took turns reading sentences they had written and decorated on colored paper to the visitors. Some students sat on parents’ laps, while others stood next to their smiling, watchful counterparts.

After the readings, the students were lead by the kindergarten teachers through sing-along songs to celebrate the holiday season and new year.

Songs during the event included Frosty The Snowman and Jingle Bells.
