Craft Center’s Holiday Exhibition &

Sale Off To A Strong Start

BROOKFIELD — The Holiday Sale is the largest annual fundraiser for Brookfield Craft Center, with a wide variety of quality handmade work by more than 100 American craft artists. The handmade work has been accepted into the event through a juried process, and new work continues to arrive each week.

Unique jewelry, artful ornaments, functional pottery, wood and glass, wearable art and accessories, baby hats and toys are all offered during the six-week event.

All work on display is for sale, and represents the skills taught in BCC’s classes by core faculty as well as visiting artists from around the country. All purchases directly support the center’s education programs, and provide important income for participating artists.

The 2010 Holiday Exhibition & Sale — the 35th annual presentation — opened on Saturday, November 20, and as of December 8 over 1,000 items had been sold.

The sale will continue until December 31, and is open daily. Hours are Monday through Friday from 11 am to 7 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, and Sunday noon to 5.

Brookfield Craft Center is at 286 Whisconier Road (Route 25), just east of the “four corners” intersection with Route 7/202. For more information, visit BrookfieldCraft.org  or call 203-775-4526.
