Renata Castelletti

Renata Castelletti, 76, of Danbury, formerly of Newtown, mother of Carmela Almeida and Arturo Castelletti, both of Danbury, died on December 15 at Danbury Hospital.

Mrs Castelletti was the wife of the late Romolo Castelletti.

She was born in Capri, Italy, September 4, 1928, daughter of Louis and Maria DeAngelis. She attended schools in Italy and was a retired seamstress.

Mrs Castelletti immigrated to the United States in 1970, coming from Italy, first settling in Newtown and later Danbury where she has resided ever since.

She was a member of St Gregory the Greek Church.

In addition to her daughter and son, she is survived by a son-in-law, Juvenal Almeida and a daughter-in-law, Amy Castelletti, both of Danbury; a brother, Bruno DeAngelis of Capri, Italy; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

A granddaughter, Jennifer Leigh Almeida, predeceased Mrs Castelletti.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on December 18 in St Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury.

Burial followed in St Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

The Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Avenue, Danbury, was in charge of arrangements.
